Cars
There are car parking areas inside the Blackheath Gate, along Blackheath Avenue and outside the Pavilion Tea House and the Royal Observatory. Charges are £1 per hour from 9am to 6pm or earlier if the park is closed; four hours maximum; excess charge £50. There is some disabled parking at the junction of Blackheath Avenue and Great Cross Avenue.

Weekdays: 6am to 10am and 4pm to 6pm
Weekends/Bank Holidays: no through traffic
Cycling
Designated cycling routes (open all day) are:
North-south: The Avenue and Blackheath Avenue
East-west: part of Great Cross Avenue
Wheelchair users
From the St Mary's Gate (Greenwich) entrance to the Park, there is quite a steep escarpment to the upper plateau. The Avenue has the easiest gradient. Some public transport within the Park is planned; check availability with the Park Office. Tel: 020 8858 2608

If you do not carry a mobile phone, and the park office is closed, there is a free fixed telephone on the office wall by the Blackheath Gate: the phone should connect direct to the Police.
